Ms. Karena is an educator with a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She has experience supporting learners across a range of academic settings, including higher education and the foster care system. She now focuses on tutoring younger learners, helping them build strong foundations in reading, writing, and math. With a compassionate, student-centered approach, she considers each child’s individual needs, learning style, and pace, aiming to build confidence and joy in the learning process. She values creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel cared for, are empowered to ask questions, and celebrate their victories. Outside of tutoring, she enjoys sand volleyball, baking, and continuing her professional growth in copywriting.
