Reading Explorers - A Reading Comprehension Class

A reading comprehension class that presents students with a selection of fiction and non-fiction text. Students will actively participate in discussions and activities that will enhance their comprehension skills, deepen their understanding of the texts, and strengthen their overall reading abilities.

This class fosters a love for storytelling and critical thinking, encouraging young minds to explore the enchanting world of literature.

Fiction books introduce students to story elements, where they learn to ask and answer such questions as who, what, where, when, why and how to demonstrate understanding of key details in a text.
Nonfiction books present the opportunity to expose students to a wide range of topics spanning from animals and history to science and geography. Students have the opportunity to discuss the main topic and organize a list of facts learned.
