Ms. Melizza Cuizon is a lifelong learner and educator with more than 30 years of experience in education and holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Education from San Diego State University, earning her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from Cal State Los Angeles. She began her career with LAUSD as an elementary classroom teacher and instructional coach before transitioning into curriculum development and educational technology marketing. Throughout her career, she has made it a point to continue working with students through private and learning-center tutoring. One of Melizza’s favorite parts of teaching is seeing the “wheels spinning” as students work through a new concept or skill and reach that “aha!” moment, which she believes helps build confidence and a lifelong love of learning. Outside the classroom, she enjoys listening to K-pop, going to concerts, and spending time with her loved ones.
