An Introduction to Story Elements for PreK-Kindergarten Students
This class is designed for young children to enhance their reading comprehension skills and develop a love for reading. Through interactive read-aloud sessions, students will:
- Ask and answer such questions as who, what, where, when, why and how to demonstrate understanding of key details in a text.
- Learn to identify, the beginning, middle and ending parts of a story, as well as make connections and predictions of a story, while simultaneously expanding their vocabulary.
- Learn to think critically by learning to identify, analyze, and discuss various story elements: characters, setting, plot, dilemma, solution, and more.
